The caption in the picture says 1982, the photo was actually taken in 1983. Challenger was one of the first bands I ever played drums for. This is a photo of us outside Sundancers, a rock club in Bolingbrook IL. Taken prior to performing. A gig at Sundancers was one the prizes for winning the Battle Of The Bands. Winnings also included $500.00 and a bunch of free pizzas at a local popular pizza place...That's me in the middle at 19 yrs old.

The guy in the maroon colored shirt is Geno Perez, our bass player Mario's brother. Geno sang with the band prior to joining the Navy. He was home on leave for a couple of weeks. He got up and performed a couple of songs during the set.
"Cold Steel" another band I played drums for. This is us performing at a backyard house party in the summer of 1985.
