I am a multi instrumentalist, and song writer, originally from Chicago's south side, I started playing the drums when I was 12 and at the age of 16, I began playing in bands. Through out the 80's and 90's I played drums in a number of different bands. Although I played in a few cover bands in the very early days, most of the bands I've played with in the past, played mostly if not all original music.

Through out the 25 plus years of being a drummer in a number of different bands, playing clubs and small venues, I learned to play other instruments as well. having played in several different bands that played original music as a drummer, I also learned how to write songs.

In 1999 I played my last gig as a drummer and following that, I began experimenting with different recording software, and began writing and recording my own songs, in which I perform all of the instruments and vocals on. I play drums, guitar, bass, and keyboards. I write, record, and produce all of my own original material, I don't use drum machines or preset tracks, it is I playing every note, beat, and singing every lyric on my songs.

I don't compare my music to any other artists or bands, and pride myself on being original. I have two music projects, one which I call "Dbury" that is an old school, 70's and 80's style, hard rock project, and my most recent project which I started in 2017, that I call "Tyburn," which is a  more modern day, symphonic, hard rock, heavy metal project.

I also Co host an internet radio show with my wife Lizzie Dbury (Mother Metal) called "The Rock Casserole" which airs live every Sunday from 12 Noon - 5PM Eastern Time on Digital Revolution Radio

www.digitalrevolutionradio.com. Since I started hosting this radio show, a whole new world of music has been opened up to me, and has reflected on my own song writing.

Whether I'm writing and recording my own music, or hosting my radio show, music is my one true passion. I come from a musical family on my father, James Duxbury's side of the family, who truly is my one biggest influence, and music is what my life revolves around, and I suspect it will continue to do so, until the day I leave this world.
